If you are new to photography, do not chase random tips. Use a short structured plan where each day has one skill focus.

Week 1: Control attention

  1. Day 1: Subject isolation with negative space
  2. Day 2: Leading lines
  3. Day 3: Symmetry and centered framing
  4. Day 4: Rule of thirds with one subject
  5. Day 5: Foreground framing
  6. Day 6: Light direction (front, side, back)
  7. Day 7: Review your best 5 shots

Week 2: Control story

  1. Day 8: Texture close-ups
  2. Day 9: Human scale in environment
  3. Day 10: Motion and timing
  4. Day 11: Color contrast
  5. Day 12: Minimal scene editing
  6. Day 13: One-location photo series
  7. Day 14: Compare Day 1 vs Day 14 and note improvements

How to review progress

At the end of each session, score the photo from 1 to 5 on:

  • Clarity of subject
  • Composition strength
  • Visual distractions

The score is less important than consistency of review.
